Robert "DaNyA" Barham

The multi-talented DaNyA (Don-Yuh) is one of music’s top artists, engineers,
producers, songwriters, and vocalists. Most recently, DaNyA has received a 2009
Stellar Award as a recording engineer, 2008 and 2009 Grammy nominations as a
producer and engineer from his work with Cross Movement Records, and a 2008
Dove Award nomination as an engineer for artist Trip Lee.
DaNyA began his career at age 4 playing musical instruments, singing, and
performing in the church. At age 9, he began to express his own lyrical talents.
With this inspirational starting point, he was able to gather the necessary
experience to begin working with music industry legends Gamble and Huff as an
artist, writer, and producer.
From his strong music roots, DaNyA branched out to work with The Butcher
Brothers, Joe and Phil Nicolo, of the legendary Ruffhouse Records (Lauryn Hill,
The Fugees, Wyclef Jean, Cypress Hill, and Kris Kross). His 4 years with The
Butcher Brothers transformed DaNyA from a raw talent to a professional engineer
at the world famous Studio 4, where DaNyA further developed his production
prowess.
Currently DaNyA is hosting a holy hip-hop radio program as in the Caribbean’s
top gospel radio station, Tahilla Radio, as DJ DNA and is actively working on a
solo album. In addition, DaNyA is a voting member of NARAS (the organization
of musicians, producers, engineers and recording professionals Internationally
known for the GRAMMY Awards).
